Steve has the distinction of being one of the founding partners and has been instrumental in the development and diversification of the business since its formation in 1989.

Steve has over 25 years experience in the Construction industry acting as commercial manager for both consultancy and contracting organisations. Initially he trained as a Quantity Surveyor working for a large contracting organisation where he obtained a wide range of experience. Projects undertaken include hospitals, universities, hotels and shopping centres, both in the UK and internationally.

Steve then joined a private practice and gained experience within the mechanical and electrical engineering sector. One of the original specialisations offered by Haleys was to provide commercial and contractual expertise on engineering services projects, this service remains a core discipline within Haleys.

As Managing Director, Steve has overall responsibility for operational efficiency, group co-ordination and business development.

Rolfe Jackson - BSc (Hons) Environmental Engineering ACIBSE, AMIEE, MBIFM

Director

Director responsible for managing the Construction Services Department. Joined the company in March 1999 having previously spent 6 years as a Partner in a Building Services & Energy Management Consultancy. During his 15 years in the construction industry Rolfe has spent time with both contractors and consultants and has a practical approach to the building environment.

Director responsible for managing Construction Services, a team of building surveyors, mechanical and electrical building services engineers, project managers and planning supervisors.

Key strengths include planned maintenance of building services, facilities management, internal and external fit-outs, mechanical and electrical design for new developments and project management. He has also carried out extensive energy management works for both private and government agencies.

 

 

 Jill Whittaker - FCA

Non Exec Finance Director

Jill Whittaker joined the company in 2004. A chartered accountant by trade she heads the Finance Department and presents financial issues at Board level. Until 2003 she was Finance Director with one of the largest training providers in the UK.

She took that company through a trade sale, running the due diligence process whilst maintaining a focus on the continued profitability of the company. Amongst her accomplishments Jill lists business turnarounds, refinancing, and change management, complemented by strong financial skills. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
